The Junk King team welcomes Jason Edge as the owner of Junk King Tacoma. Jason started his recycling career early in life, when he drove with his mother 10 miles from their rural Pennsylvania home to drop off their junk items at a recycling center. Now, he still recycles but he hauls the recyclables in a big red truck.
Edge brings with him nearly 5 years of overseeing operations and ownership of Junk King Portland, and previously had worked in the technology and manufacturing industries. His experience of managing a team, both with and before Junk King, will aid Edge in owning two Junk King locations.
“I’ve seen really great success at my Portland and Vancouver locations and knew I wanted to expand across Washington. I’ve had the opportunity to work in various industries, but no job has been as rewarding as Junk King,” said Edge. “I was eager to get into business ownership and Junk King not only provides a fantastic business model but the opportunity to give back to the community and environment. I look forward to offering that same impact to folks in Tacoma.”
